Posted by , Last modified by on 20 March 2012 05:44 PM

When you order a 100M server, please go ahead check the speed duplex settings if you saw your bandwidth is roughly 50M/s, or some packet loss on the server end.

For Centos:

[root@yourserver~]# ethtool eth0
Settings for eth0:
Supported ports: [ TP MII ]
        Supported link modes:   10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full
                                100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full
                                1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full
        Supports auto-negotiation: Yes
        Advertised link modes:  Not reported
        Advertised pause frame use: No
        Advertised auto-negotiation: No
        Speed: 100Mb/s
        Duplex: Full
        Port: MII
        PHYAD: 0
        Transceiver: internal
        Auto-negotiation: off
        Supports Wake-on: pumbg
        Wake-on: g
        Current message level: 0x00000033 (51)
        Link detected: yes

For Ubuntu or Debian, please go ahead install the ethtool package first.

If the result shows 100 half, please go ahead contact our support team to double check the interface on the switch.

Thanks,

EGN
